Add a widget to see your streak and weekly activity without opening the app. Tap it whenever you want to open LangJournal.
These illustrations are examples. Numbers and colors may differ from your actual activity and display. This guide covers the iPhone Home Screen.
1. Touch and hold the Home Screen
Go to your iPhone Home Screen. Touch and hold an empty area until the app icons start to jiggle, then lift your finger.
2. Open the widget gallery
Tap Edit in the upper-left corner, then Add Widget.
If you see a plus button instead
On iOS 17 and other versions that show + instead of Edit, tap + in the upper-left corner. This opens the same widget gallery.
3. Search for LangJournal
Type LangJournal in the search field, then tap the app in the results. If the app name is displayed in Japanese, search for ラングジャーナル instead.
4. Choose a size and add the widget
Swipe left or right through the previews to choose the small or medium widget. Tap Add Widget, move it to your preferred spot on the Home Screen, then tap Done.
Adding a widget is optional. You can come back to these steps at any time.
If you cannot find the app
Update LangJournal to the latest version and open it once. Return to the Home Screen and try searching again. If the English name does not appear, also try ラングジャーナル.
If it still does not appear, contact us through Settings → Contact Us in the app. Include your iPhone model and iOS version.
Using your widget
Tap the widget to open LangJournal. It does not take you directly to the journal editor.
Widget updates may take a little time. If your latest activity has not appeared yet, open the app to check your progress.
